Must:
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated technician with a passion for IT and a strong desire to learn. To succeed in this role, you need:
- Hands-on experience in a similar IT support role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD, Intune)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Experience using helpdesk systems and working to SLAs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Experience in an education setting is preferred but not essential; what matters most is your technical ability, attitude, and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
In your new role, you will join our team as an enthusiastic IT Technician on a 6-month fixed-term contract in the first instance. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality technical support across our Trust. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and maintaining devices
- Resolving first-line IT issues
- Supporting network infrastructure
- Being the first point of contact for IT queries
- Providing professional, customer-focused support to students, teachers, and administrative staff
- Assisting with software installations and device rollouts
- Contributing to ongoing IT projects
