Requirements
Must:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience managing a geographically dispersed IT support team
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
- Technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, networking fundamentals, and end-user device support
- Experience with ITSM tools, ideally Halo ITSM
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive and pragmatic approach with a passion for service excellence
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across England
Responsibilities
As the IT Support Manager, you will lead a team of IT support professionals, overseeing all aspects of technical and end-user support. You will report to the IT Service Operations Manager and manage service desk operations, drive continual improvement, and ensure high-quality support across the organisation. This hands-on leadership role will see you guide, motivate, and develop your team while also engaging in day-to-day operations. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of IT support, integrate closely with the wider IT team, and contribute to national transformation projects.
