Must:
To be successful in this position, you should have experience in a reactive IT support environment, ideally with a background in the education sector. A genuine passion for providing high-quality IT service to end users is essential, along with strong communication and relationship-building skills, as you will be working closely with teaching staff and pupils. Additionally, a valid UK driving licence is required for occasional travel.
Responsibilities
As our IT Technician, you will report to the Regional IT Manager and provide high-level IT support to both staff and pupils. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering first and second line IT support, addressing hardware and software issues for staff and pupils.
- Overseeing the IT helpdesk for the school, ensuring requests are met efficiently and in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Supporting educational equipment, including AV systems, interactive whiteboards, and management information systems (MIS).
- Collaborating with the wider IT team and third-party providers to address and resolve IT issues promptly.
- Maintaining the school network while resolving any connectivity issues.
- Working closely with the IT team to successfully deliver various IT projects.
Description
This role is based on-site 5 days a week in Huyton, Merseyside, with occasional travel required to other sites in the North West.
