Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer / ElasticSearch SME with Active Security Clearance (SC)
- Working experience using ElasticSearch as a core component, not just ELK logging
- Hands-on support of legacy applications and infrastructure
- Strong experience with Nginx and Apache Tomcat/HTTP
- Working knowledge of Containerisation / Virtualisation (e.g. Docker, VMware) and Linux with Shell scripting
- Hands-on experience supporting ElasticSearch integrations (indexing, query DSL, etc.) and experience supporting search-driven services (JSON, Logstash, Kibana, etc.)
- Experience with Platforms and Operating Systems including Oracle Solaris 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, Windows Server 2008 / 2016 / 2019, VMware ESX v6, Docker, IBM Initiate (Master Data Management)
- Nice to have: Working experience with Java 8, 5, 6, 11, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) and JSP
- Immediate availability
Responsibilities
- Join a business critical programme for an end client as a DevOps Engineer / ElasticSearch SME
- Support legacy applications and infrastructure as needed
- Utilize ElasticSearch as a core component in projects
- Manage and optimize Nginx and Apache Tomcat/HTTP environments
- Implement Containerisation / Virtualisation technologies such as Docker and VMware
- Carry out Shell scripting and Linux administration tasks
- Support ElasticSearch integrations and search-driven services
- Collaborate with the team to enhance service delivery and performance
