Requirements
Must:
- Expert knowledge of at least one DSPM platform: Varonis, Cyera, BigID, or similar
- Strong hands-on experience across DLP, Data Privacy, DSPM/CSPM, SIEM, and vulnerability management
- Proficiency with Helm, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, and multi-environment deployments
- Experience scanning structured/unstructured data sources (SMB, Confluence, Jira)
- Strong scripting (Python or similar) and SQL skills
- Solid cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Good understanding of data classification, retention, deletion, and privacy automation
- Strong Linux CLI and troubleshooting capability
Responsibilities
- Enhance data security platform and scanning infrastructure
- Design and deliver Data Security services with engineering teams
- Support the adoption of modern cloud-native architectures
- Ensure Data Security and cloud infrastructure follow the latest security patterns
- Identify sensitive data and implement automated remediation pathways
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team in Manchester on a long-term engagement, with competitive pay of £620 per day inside IR35, featuring 3 days onsite and 2 remote. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at scale, helping to shape and enhance our organisations Data Security capabilities across a complex and evolving technology estate. The successful candidate will be instrumental in strengthening our data security posture and will have the opportunity to influence platform strategy and drive meaningful improvements across multiple security domains.
