Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark
- Writing and tuning Spark jobs / PySpark development experience
- Experienced with Airflow and SQL
- Strong experience working in containerised environments using Kubernetes
- Experience with programming in Python or Scala
- Experience with an Ops way of working, capable of deploying solutions
- Experience with OpenShift highly desirable
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, sprints, demos)
- Financial services or professional services background required
Responsibilities
- Build and support Spark jobs
- Focus on performance optimisation of data jobs
- Develop and deliver work in sprints
- Conduct demos and documentation of work
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
- Collaborate with a small Agile delivery team
- Support the replacement of a legacy ETL tool with a modern data platform
