Requirements

Must:
- We need proven experience leading continuous improvement functions within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. - We need a strong track record of managing multidisciplinary teams, setting priorities, and delivering against a structured pipeline of initiatives. - We need experience building and overseeing portfolios, establishing governance frameworks, and managing performance effectively. - We need exposure to driving change across HR, Finance, IT, and operational teams. - We need the ability to influence senior stakeholders and balance competing demands around cost, risk, and service delivery. - We need a strong professional toolkit in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean and structured problem-solving techniques. - We need the ability to translate insight into measurable outcomes and present data-led recommendations at senior level. - We need experience developing robust business cases and tracking benefits realisation. - We need the ability to build capability within teams and embed sustainable new ways of working. - We need a practical understanding of process optimisation and automation, including RPA and digital workflow tools. - We need the ability to work closely with technical teams and understand system integrations, data flows, and operational constraints. - We need experience ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and scalable. - We need experience working with legacy systems and third-party vendors. - We need the ability to oversee testing, deployment, and ongoing optimisation. - Public sector or similarly regulated environment experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

- We will lead end-to-end improvement initiatives using Lean DMAIC methodologies. - We will identify, prioritise, and deliver improvements aligned to strategic objectives and external inspection requirements. - We will embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation. - We will introduce automation, streamline processes, and remove inefficiencies across technical and non-technical areas. - We will drive the use of RPA and M365 tooling to enhance service delivery and reduce manual effort. - We will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning automation and digital tooling. - We will work closely with HR, Finance, IT, Learning & Development, and Change functions. - We will assess organisational and people impacts to ensure improvements are effectively embedded. - We will own a portfolio of improvement initiatives from design through to implementation. - We will develop robust business cases and oversee delivery governance and reporting. - We will engage senior stakeholders and provide clear visibility on progress, outcomes, and benefits realisation. - We will influence the wider organisation to adopt continuous improvement as a core way of working. - We will engage and manage external partners, including commissioning specialist support where required. - We will oversee supplier performance and contractual delivery.
