Requirements
Must:
- Previous relevant experience in an IT support role
- Experience with Microsoft and VMware technologies
- First-class customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic team environments
- Knowledge of information security policies and practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues
- Ability to document and report on work completed
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as directed by the line manager
Responsibilities
- Coordinate small teams delivering basic work packages
- Document and report on work completed to ensure compliance
- Escalate issues to ensure customer demands are met
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers
- Carry out installations and configurations of workstation hardware and software
- Support end user workstation hardware and software by troubleshooting
- Maintain network asset management register and log changes
- Adhere to business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Respond to emergency network outages
- Perform system backups and recovery
- Administer and maintain end user accounts and permissions
- Collaborate with Technical Service departments as needed
- Act as a role model for technical and behavioral competencies
Description
We are an award-winning technology company based in the Caerphilly area, looking to recruit a permanent IT Support / Customer Support Engineer. This is a fully office-based role with a salary range of £32,000 - £34,000 depending on experience.
