Build and Deployment Engineer

In this role, I will require you to build up to 1605 Windows 11 devices in line with the agreed deployment schedule, with our current facility supporting a throughput of approximately 250 devices per week. You will perform client-mandated testing procedures for all new builds, including patch updates and application installations. Conducting a pilot deployment to validate the supplier process and ensuring the new device/build meets expected standards is crucial. You will physically prepare devices for shipment and load them for transportation, deploying up to 50 devices per day to identified users according to the schedule. Each deployment will occur during working hours, and you will ensure each device functions correctly, obtaining sign-off from the Client representative. Additionally, you will provide Early Life Support for one day following each deployment block and collect legacy devices from desks to return them to the storage area for decommissioning/disposal. For laptop deployments, you'll also deploy up to 50 devices per day based on 10-minute appointments, adhering to defined Client security practices, such as applying USB warning stickers, tamper-proof labels, Client-specified identifier stickers, and making necessary security changes. It's important that you assist users with checklist completion and obtain their sign-off. You will keep the Client updated on deployment completion at intervals agreed during the project initiation. Lastly, you will complete rearranged deployments and collect replaced devices. Legacy devices will be retained for three weeks post-replacement at the Client facility, after which disk drives and memory will be removed in preparation for disposal, following the standard Client disposal method.
