Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in AI solutions architecture
- Proficiency with AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, and open-source AI/ML stacks
- Strong understanding of AI lifecycle standards and guardrails
- Ability to embed secure development practices and advise on risk management
- Experience translating central policies into department-specific guidelines
- Knowledge of collaboration with senior technical and policy stakeholders
- Capability to apply systematic and rigorous strategic analysis of architectural issues
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition of AI lifecycle standards and guardrails for cohesive technology integration
- Embed secure AI development practices while advising on risk registers and due diligence
- Translate central policies into practical tools and guidance specific to the department
- Engage with Other Government Departments and cross-HMG forums for alignment with national standards
- Establish and maintain secure-by-design and explainability guardrails for AI systems
- Provide enterprise-level architectural governance for AI pilots, ensuring compliance and integration
- Collaborate with senior managers to align AI development with public outcomes and service transformation
Description
We are a well-respected Central Government department responsible for impactful policy matters and economic decisions. We have an immediate critical requirement for a Lead AI Solutions Architect to accelerate the responsible and scalable adoption of AI within the organization. This role is essential for embedding trusted design principles and ensuring interoperability and compliance with emerging national standards. We welcome applications from individuals with diverse AI technical experience. This role offers a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to contribute significantly to our AI strategy over a 6-month contract with immediate start options available.
