Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Service Transition Lead or in a similar role within large-scale ERP/HCM programs.
- Strong background in IT Service Management (ITIL) and service transition disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and embed support models for Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle EBS coexistence.
- Experience working with system integrators (preferably Oracle) and coordinating across business and IT teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes and their business impact.
- Preferred qualifications include ITIL v3/v4 certification and a background in Oracle EBS ERP modules.
- Familiarity with cloud operations, SaaS service models, and vendor management.
Responsibilities
- I will own and deliver the service transition plan aligned with program milestones (including SIT, FVT/UAT, PCT, Dress Rehearsal, and Go-Live).
- I will define operational readiness criteria, collaborating with existing IT and business teams to ensure services meet acceptance requirements.
- I will establish governance for managing coexistence between Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle EBS.
- I will define and implement the Target Operating Model (TOM) for support covering both Cloud and on-premise systems.
- I will oversee knowledge transfer, training, and documentation for internal IT and the business support team, ensuring the service desk and support partners are trained and ready for new services from day one.
- I will work with the System Integrator to ensure service transition deliverables are complete and aligned with business expectations.
- I will collaborate with business process owners and IT to ensure continuity of services across Cloud and EBS environments, while communicating service readiness status and risks to program leadership and governance forums.
- I will proactively identify and mitigate risks related to service continuity, support readiness, and coexistence, while establishing incident, problem, change, and escalation processes suitable for hybrid Cloud/on-prem environments.
- I will ensure documentation and testing of contingency and rollback processes.
- I will manage early-life support and ensure a controlled handover to BAU operations, leading post-implementation service reviews.
Description
This is a 10-month contract position deemed Inside IR35, with a hybrid working model based in Havant/Reading, starting as soon as possible. Experience with Oracle HCM implementation is essential for this role. The day rate for this position is £648. Applicants must hold, or be willing to apply for, a valid Basic Disclosure Scotland.
