Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Senior Data Analyst, particularly with Tableau and data visualization tools.
- Proficient in SQL development, including script writing, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and experience in enhancing reporting processes.
- Ability to create thorough documentation, including Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRDs), and project plans.
- Knowledge of technical design and development best practices.
- Strong leadership skills to guide teams and manage complex projects.
- Subject matter expertise in Tableau and data analytics.
Responsibilities
- I will write and optimize SQL scripts, focusing on reconciliation and performance tuning.
- I will build and maintain Tableau dashboards while ensuring efficient and optimized data pipelines.
- I will recommend and implement enhancements to reporting processes, improving data quality and workflows.
- I will develop project artifacts such as BRDs, FRDs, test plans, UAT scenarios, and technical project plans.
- I will translate architecture and low-level requirements into actionable design and code.
- I will provide technical direction for complex projects, ensuring adherence to procedures throughout development and implementation.
- I will promote best practices in code quality, testability, and reliability, acting as a mentor and guide.
Description
We are a leading investment bank based in Belfast, and this role is essential to our business-facing execution team, where we work on various projects and workstreams to deliver impactful data solutions. This position will support multiple stakeholder groups amid new regulatory requirements and discretionary change initiatives within the bank. Additionally, exposure to Python and technologies such as Hive, Impala, and the Spark ecosystem (HDFS, Apache Spark, Spark-SQL, UDF, Sqoop) would be advantageous.
