Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience building data engineering solutions on Azure
- Strong hands-on skills in ADF, Databricks, Python, T-SQL, and PySpark
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
- Solid understanding of data governance and security tooling (Purview / Unity Catalog)
- Bonus: experience with CI/CD, automation, containerisation, or Azure certifications
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver secure, scalable data pipelines using Azure (ADF, Databricks, Lakehouse)
- Lead engineering standards and mentor senior engineers
- Turn complex requirements into automated, efficient data solutions
- Influence platform strategy, remove blockers, and ensure strong governance
- Optimise cloud costs through FinOps practices
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI/ML into data workflows
