Requirements
Must:
- CCNA certification at minimum
- Proven experience with Cisco equipment (2960X/XR, 4500, 9000 series as well as Nexus switches)
- Knowledge of troubleshooting physical network site infrastructure
- Experience in building, managing, and maintaining high availability networks with Cisco devices
- Familiarity with Cisco Networking, Unified Communications, WLC, F5 VPN, F5 Silverline/XC, IPsec tunnel, and Palo Alto Firewalls
- Experience with network monitoring solutions
- Experience in designing load balancing services
- Ability to work collaboratively with IT and operational colleagues
Responsibilities
- Deploy SD-WAN solutions to 50+ sites in Scotland
- Upgrade estate-wide LAN hardware/software and triage failures over 50+ sites
- Oversee Wi-Fi system upgrades including new controllers and APs
- Consult on the delivery of network designs and strategies for a multi-site network
- Provide professional advice and judgment on networking/infrastructure design
- Represent the Networks team at internal and external meetings
- Consult on the overall network roadmap aligned with the business plan
- Ensure compliance with PSN networks and related policies
- Advise on maintaining and developing existing systems for business needs
- Collaborate with operational colleagues to improve service provision
- Attend meetings and network events to share best practices
- Ensure timely provision of collateral required by Project Managers
