Requirements
Must:
- Expert-level Red Hat Linux administration skills
- Expert-level VMware vSphere administration expertise
- Strong knowledge of enterprise storage solutions, preferably PureStorage
- Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of hybrid environments (Azure & on-premises)
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Experience with DevOps ecosystems including Ansible, Git, and CI/CD practices
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: firewalls, routing, switching, TCP/IP, WAN/LAN
- Proven experience leading or managing a technical engineering team
- Ability to think strategically, perform risk analysis, and contribute to architectural decisions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for all audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain strong working relationships across the organization
- Comfortable adapting to change and managing shifting priorities
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code deployments
- Exposure to VMware Tanzu or Kubernetes platform services
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing technical engineering team
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the team
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, ensuring robust, secure, and reliable platform operations
- Oversee and optimize VMware vSphere environments, including capacity planning, lifecycle management, and performance tuning
- Manage and support enterprise-grade storage platforms such as PureStorage, ensuring data availability, performance, and integrity
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters across hybrid environments
- Work across both Azure cloud and on-premises infrastructure, enabling seamless integration and operational consistency
- Develop and maintain automation and orchestration workflows using PowerShell, Ansible, Git, and related DevOps tools
- Ensure strong network reliability through solid understanding of firewalls, switching, routing, TCP/IP, WAN, and LAN technologies
