Requirements
Must:
- Excellent at distilling ambiguous requirements
- Excellent programming skills with Python and PyKit
- Experience with Perl and/or PowerShell is a plus
- Strong experience with code change tracking (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Cortex
- Strong experience with Ansible
- Strong experience with REST API
- Excellent ability to debug complex and novel issues
- Excellent analytical skills, capable of fast decision making using sound judgement
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with customers
Responsibilities
- Focus on automation and the creation of observability and alerting solutions
- Support the Firms data protection strategy
- Engage in the development of solutions that meet customer needs
- Collaborate with team members to enhance existing automation processes
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues beyond provided documentation
- Explore new ideas and techniques to improve system performance
Description
We are Harvey Nash, and we are excited to invite candidates to apply for the role of Automation and Observability Engineer. This is a 12-month engagement working onsite in our Glasgow office. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £62.45, including holiday pay. You will be joining a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration, focusing on enhancing our data protection strategy.
