Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in designing and developing AI applications using Python
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, particularly with FastAPI
- Familiarity with Large Language Models and APIs like OpenAI or Claude (Anthropic)
- Experience with data access layers using SQLAlchemy
- Knowledge of performance enhancement techniques using Redis
- Ability to develop analytical dashboards and user interfaces with Dash
- Experience in deploying applications on Azure App Services
- Strong focus on security, performance, and reliability standards
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven applications and services utilizing Python
- Build and manage RESTful APIs with FastAPI
- Integrate and oversee Large Language Models via OpenAI API or Claude (Anthropic) API
- Implement robust data access layers using SQLAlchemy
- Enhance performance and scalability by leveraging Redis for caching, session management, and task coordination
- Develop analytical dashboards and streamline user interfaces with Dash
- Deploy, configure, and support applications on Azure App Services
- Ensure all solutions adhere to security, performance, and reliability standards
- Collaborate effectively with product owners, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI solutions
- Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code while supporting technical best practices
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance live AI systems
Description
We are a leading client based in Birmingham, offering a hybrid working model with 3 days onsite per week. We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team, providing an opportunity to work on innovative AI applications utilizing Python frameworks and LLM APIs. Our salary range for this position is up to £70,000 - £75,000 annually. Join us to contribute to the development of scalable and secure AI services in Azures public cloud.
