Must:
I am looking for a solid, progressive background in IT operations or service delivery within an organization with around 300 users. You should have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Intune endpoint management, or significantly related experience. Additionally, an understanding of networking fundamentals, patch management, and system monitoring is essential. Practical knowledge of ITIL principles is a must. I value candidates who are confident in coaching, mentoring, and motivating others. It's important that you are methodical, calm, capable of making decisions, and able to work independently while taking ownership of your responsibilities. Being a decent, ethical person who works well in a team is crucial.
Responsibilities
In this role, I lead a small but high-performing team, focusing on operational performance and team coordination. I provide assurance to the Head of IT regarding service compliance, health, and technical risks. I champion best practices across service delivery, patch management, and system resilience. I also contribute directly to our ongoing ISO 27001 certification and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance and act as the deputy to the Head of IT, ensuring continuity of leadership. My specific tasks include:
- Leading daily IT operations, ensuring system stability and uptime while managing and mentoring a small team of 2.
- Monitoring infrastructure, including Azure, Intune, Microsoft 365, and networking, ensuring regular patching, updates, and endpoint compliance.
- Owning the service delivery KPIs and driving process improvement through ITIL-aligned practices while producing weekly operational reports.
- Supporting Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 compliance by ensuring adherence to patching, backup, and endpoint compliance metrics.
