Must:
- I have a strong track record of deploying machine learning solutions.
- I possess experience in leading data science projects and managing teams of data scientists and ML engineers.
- I am skilled in communication and stakeholder management.
- I have experience with A/B testing and multivariate experimentation.
- I am familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
- I bring expertise in advanced modeling techniques.
- I have strong business acumen.
- I hold a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (preferred).
- I possess 5 years of experience in data science/ML, with proven leadership experience.
- I have a strong understanding of MLOps practices and production deployment requirements, including job orchestration.
Responsibilities
- I will lead the vision and delivery of ML/AI initiatives across the business.
- I will design and oversee end-to-end ML solutions, from experimentation through to production deployment.
- I will drive the adoption of MLOps best practices.
- I will work closely with engineering leads to ensure successful project delivery.
- I will build a high-performing team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers.
- I will set and maintain technical standards and best practices within the team.
- I will provide strategic leadership on DS/ML capabilities and opportunities, ensuring alignment with key business goals and technical roadmaps.
Description
I am part of a market-leading telecommunications company that boasts an established Data Science and AI team, and we are looking to bring a Lead Data Scientist into our team. We already have a strong DS/ML foundation but are eager to grow further. In this role, you will have a blend of management and hands-on responsibilities, approximately 60% management and 40% hands-on work. This position is remote, with a requirement to be onsite in Uxbridge only one day per month, offering a salary of up to £100,000, along with a car allowance and bonus. Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
