Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in end-to-end delivery of LLM/RAG/agentic systems in production
- Strong knowledge of Python, LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, and vector stores
- Experience designing and deploying RAG pipelines and agentic workflows
- Familiarity with building APIs and microservices
- Ability to own evaluation frameworks, observability, guardrails, and model governance
- Experience integrating AI systems into production environments and enterprise workflows
- Excellent collaboration skills, including the ability to guide junior and external engineers
- Understanding of financial services use cases and how to translate them into practical AI features
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-based intelligence modules
- Build Python-based AI components, APIs, and microservices
- Own the evaluation frameworks, observability, guardrails, and model governance for AI systems
- Integrate AI systems into production environments and enterprise workflows
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to shape architecture and roadmap
- Guide junior engineers and externals in technical aspects of projects
- Translate financial-services use cases into practical AI features
Description
We are a high-growth AI/FinTech startup building a predictive intelligence platform focused on financial institutions. Our innovative system connects external market events, client risks, and revenue opportunities through real-time agentic AI. Backed by experienced leaders from consulting and enterprise technology, we have developed a functioning MVP and are looking for our first in-house Lead AI Engineer. This hybrid role, based in Central London, provides the opportunity to shape the architecture and long-term AI strategy, offering ownership and deep technical scope.
