Requirements
Must:
- Strong commercial experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, including data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
- Proven experience working with relational data and writing SQL to query and prepare data.
- Solid understanding of ETL principles and experience building or working with ETL pipelines from multiple data sources.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure Databricks.
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to gather requirements, challenge constructively, and present insights clearly.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working in a team-oriented, agile environment.
- (Nice to have) Experience with T SQL or similar, and tools such as SSMS or Databricks.
- (Nice to have) Advanced Excel skills, including Power Pivot and Power Query, for working with complex datasets.
- (Nice to have) Exposure to SSRS or other enterprise reporting tools.
- (Nice to have) Interest in or exposure to Python or R for more advanced analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards for a variety of business functions.
- Build robust data models, including advanced DAX calculations and Power Query transformations, to support accurate and performant reporting.
- Own ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into accessible datasets.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
- Implement and manage Row Level Security, alerts, and other governance features to keep data secure and accessible to the right audience.
- Create high impact, story driven dashboards and multi-level reporting for users ranging from operational teams to executive leadership.
- Contribute to the wider data and reporting strategy, helping to consolidate reports and improve data quality and controls.
