Must:
We are looking for candidates who have 8-10 years of software development experience within large-scale, regulated environments, ideally in Investment, Asset, or Wealth Management. You should have solid experience in building and deploying frontend applications using React or React Native, along with hands-on knowledge of secure API design and authentication services. Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, or iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) is preferred, and familiarity with Figma and Vercel is a bonus. You must be capable of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code and be comfortable working in both on-prem and cloud-native environments. A keen interest in observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana is essential, as well as familiarity with AWS services and their integration into modern applications. We expect you to have a strong focus on quality and security, incorporating testing and scanning into CI/CD pipelines. A passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge is important, as is an ability to thrive in fast-paced, regulated environments.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for building and deploying scalable, secure, and compliant software at pace. This includes integrating HL web and mobile apps with both existing and new systems to deliver a seamless client experience across a range of products and services. You will deliver value iteratively, with a strong focus on customer outcomes and short feedback loops. Creating and visualizing application metrics to understand usage patterns and anomalies will also be part of your role. You will review code with peers, collaborate across teams to solve problems while maintaining an eye for quality and velocity, and drive technical decisions shaping how we build our services. Working closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to align engineering outcomes with HL's mission and client value is crucial. Additionally, you will champion a culture of continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and inclusivity with a growth mindset.
