Requirements
Must:
- Strong technology leadership experience within complex organisations
- Ability to set guard rails around scope, technology, quality, NFRs, and best practices
- Experience in a product and client value driven environment
- Strong collaboration skills with Product Managers and business stakeholders
- Understanding of full stack engineering best practices including CICD and Observability
- Strong partnership skills with multiple business areas
- Focus on team learning & development, motivation, and psychological safety
- Ability to manage ambiguity and seek clarity through collaboration and communication
- Strong software engineering background with ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and AWS technologies
- Experience with Contentful CMS, IaC using Terraform, and analytics tools
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional product engineering team
- Support the growth and development of Software Engineers
- Drive technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation
- Partner closely with technical/business leaders and teams to understand processes and challenges
- Design solutions to improve outcomes for clients and colleagues
- Recruit and shape a high-performing engineering team
- Maintain ownership of services under your team, ensuring support and continuous improvement
- Establish a purpose-driven culture focused on excellence
- Motivate the team to make a meaningful difference
