Requirements
Must:
- Experience with TypeScript, React, and CI/CD
- Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools and practices (e.g., PHPUnit, Playwright, Jest, Cypress, Backstop)
- Enjoys upskilling others in a team and prioritizes sharing knowledge
- Experience with CI/CD and Trunk Based Development
- Understanding of Microservices and principles of RESTful API development, including structuring, documenting, versioning, testing, and stubbing/mocking
- Understanding of event-driven architecture
- Experience performing code reviews
- Experience operating within the Agile framework
- Awareness of website performance implications, best practices, and other non-functional requirements
- Ability to write, assist in writing, or review technical documentation
- Advocacy for excellent development practices to optimize for rapid and continuous delivery of client value
Responsibilities
- Build and run AWS Cloud-native applications using TypeScript and React
- Establish and maintain automated tests for the changes being implemented
- Write high-quality, secure, tested, and performant code
- Provide coaching and mentoring to peers and more junior members of the team over time
- Collaborate with others in a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality digital client journeys
- Advocate for continuous improvement within the team, focusing on quality, security, performance, and CI/CD processes
- Help document solutions and write Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and techniques
- Cultivate strong working relationships within the team and across HL
- Participate actively in working groups and communities of practice to support the development team
- Continuously develop both technical and interpersonal skills
- Provide engineering support for existing applications when necessary
