Requirements
Must:
- Experience developing client and server-side web applications using technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Lambdas, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and React.
- Proven experience working with Contentful CMS to develop content models and integrate with content/asset delivery APIs.
- Familiar with infrastructure as code principles and practices.
- Knowledgeable in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools and practices (e.g., Jest, Playwright).
- Understanding of microservices and principles of RESTful API development, including structuring, documenting, versioning, testing, and stubbing/mocking.
- Experience performing code reviews and identifying learning opportunities.
- Operating within an Agile framework and working within a DevOps culture.
- Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS (Tailwind/SCSS), JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Senior-level experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, particularly React, Next.js, and Node.js.
- Proficient in using Git (GitLab) and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Awareness of website performance implications and best practices.
- Understanding of web accessibility principles and how to ensure interfaces are accessible.
- Ability to write and share runbooks, architecture decision records (ADRs), and document processes.
- Knowledge of excellent development practices for rapid and continuous delivery of client value.
Responsibilities
- Build and run full-stack web applications using TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and React.
- Develop and maintain a design component library and implement designs from Figma.
- Strategically plan and establish automated tests for changes being implemented.
- Write high-quality, secure, tested, and performant code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital client journeys.
- Improve our release and deployment strategies (CI/CD, gitops, policy).
- Contribute to work pre-planning by presenting architectural options and trade-offs.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and techniques embraced by the development team.
- Cultivate strong working relationships within the team and across the company.
- Participate in working groups and communities to support the development team.
- Continuously develop both technical and interpersonal skills.
- Provide proactive engineering support for existing applications.
- Offer coaching and mentoring to peers.
