Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience developing applications using C# and modern .NET frameworks
- Exposure to, or enthusiasm for learning, cloud-based platforms and services, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Experience building APIs and working with data storage technologies, including modern NoSQL databases
- Solid grounding in software engineering principles, such as automated testing, version control, and clean code practices
- Interest in the insurance or financial services domain, with an appetite for working at the intersection of technology and analytics
- Clear communicator, comfortable explaining technical ideas and collaborating with a range of stakeholders
- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset, with a drive to continuously improve both systems and skills
- Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments
- Nice to have: Python experience
- Nice to have: Experience within the Insurance sector
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance features within an insurance analytics platform, contributing to its long-term technical direction and responding to user and stakeholder needs
- Write high-quality, maintainable code primarily using .NET, with opportunities to work in other languages such as Python
- Work closely with professionals from different disciplines, including analytics experts and engineers, to translate complex insurance concepts into robust software functionality
- Apply established software engineering best practices to ensure code quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability
- Explore and prototype new tools, technologies, and approaches to support innovation and continuous improvement
- Contribute to knowledge sharing across the team, supporting a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence
Description
We are seeking a Software Developer to contribute to the ongoing development of a data-driven analytics platform within the insurance sector. This is a hybrid role, with two days per week working on-site in central London and the remainder working remotely. We offer an opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping to design and build scalable software solutions that support insight-led decision-making for non-life insurance.
