Senior IT Techniker

As a Senior IT Technician reporting to the IT Manager, you will join our well-established support team at a secondary school in Wigan, while also receiving support from our central IT team. In this role, you will work independently to provide high-quality IT support to staff and pupils, thereby enhancing teaching and learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include managing the school's IT helpdesk, resolving issues in line with service level agreements (SLAs), overseeing the active directory environment, ensuring the security of IT networks and systems, and supporting the delivery of IT projects on-site and across the trust. Daily tasks will involve providing first and second line support, installing and upgrading hardware and software, introducing new technologies, maintaining an updated inventory of IT equipment and consumables, and offering AV and website support.
