Must:
I am looking for candidates with extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure IaaS, and virtualization environments such as Hyper-V and VMWare. You should have a strong knowledge of core Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, and Microsoft 365. Proven experience with security tools like antivirus solutions (SOPHOS, Microsoft Defender), vulnerability scanning (Tenable Nessus), and mail/web filtering (Clearswift, Fortinet) is essential. Additionally, I expect proficiency with monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds and Azure Monitor, along with excellent analytical skills and the ability to create comprehensive design documentation. Familiarity with ITIL frameworks is important, as is a collaborative mindset with strong vendor relationship management skills. You should also be comfortable with occasional data center work and complex security implementation projects.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge security solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments. You will deliver hands-on technical expertise across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and endpoint security solutions. Collaborating closely with senior security leadership, you will translate security requirements into technical deliverables while ensuring that systems meet stringent SLAs and maintain the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability). You will play a significant role in mentoring wider teams and creating comprehensive documentation. Additionally, I expect you to shape future security architecture and monitor threats in real-time while collaborating with diverse internal teams and external suppliers to safeguard critical business services.
