Requirements
Must:
We require a Network Architect with deep hands-on expertise in existing network infrastructure. A strong understanding of modern networking principles, architecture, and security frameworks is essential. You should possess a solid grasp of the SASE landscape, including its concepts, implementation considerations, and vendor offerings. Extensive experience in large-scale enterprise networking (WAN, LAN, cloud networking, hybrid multi-cloud environment) is necessary, alongside a strong understanding of security principles such as Zero Trust, identity-based access, and traffic inspection. Familiarity with SASE models, vendors, and their differentiators, as well as previous experience supporting network/security transformations, are also key qualifications.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to conduct technical discovery and requirements definition by assessing the current network architecture and its dependencies. You will identify gaps, constraints, and integration challenges for a SASE transformation, and support the development of a set of technical requirements to guide vendor selection. Collaboration is crucial, and you will work closely with Security Architects, Network Engineers, and IT teams, providing insights into potential operational and performance impacts. You’ll also be advising on key SASE capabilities such as SD-WAN, SSE, and Zero Trust, helping us assess provider architectures, service models, and integration approaches, while supporting the organization in defining the evaluation framework for vendors.
Description
We are offering a fully remote position at £575 per day, outside IR35, for an initial 6-month contract with an exciting client. This is an excellent opportunity to support our internal Security Architecture and wider technical teams in defining the necessary functional and non-functional detailed requirements ahead of a potential full SASE procurement process.
