Requirements
Must:
- I require you to work 5 days per week in our office located in Guildford.
- You must provide examples of native apps that you have developed for both iOS and Android platforms, which are live in the App Store.
- I prefer candidates with a degree in a STEM or Computing discipline.
- You should have at least 5 years of dedicated hands-on experience working on iOS & Android platforms.
- Familiarity with Android Native UI and iOS Objective-C UI components is essential.
- I am looking for experience with .NET MAUI for cross-platform development.
- You should be proficient in using Android Studio IDE (Windows) or Xcode IDE (macOS).
- Skills in Qt mobile GUI development using Qt, Qt Quick, or QML are required.
- Experience in developing apps on Windows using Visual Studio with Xamarin is preferred.
- You should have experience in 2D/3D graphics, including OpenGL, Shaders, OpenSceneGraph, or Vulkan.
- Knowledge of GIS mapping toolkits such as GDAL, ESRI, MapBox, or Google Maps is important.
- Familiarity with Apple App Store developer processes, including code signing and deployment using TestFlight is necessary.
- Experience in Google Play Store development, including app publishing (APK, AAB), is required.
- Skills in C/C++ desktop development for Windows using Visual Studio IDE are a plus.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, including JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Java, bash, batch scripts, and CMake, is advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to contribute to the development of our two best-in-class existing applications for both iOS and Android platforms, while also leading the development of new cross-platform apps for our organization. You will be involved in all phases of project work, including software coding, interface design, testing, and deployment of mobile applications. The existing applications utilize location services, online maps, compass functionality, and device tilt sensors, so I encourage applicants with transferable skills in these areas. You will collaborate closely with our internal development engineers and domain specialists to enhance our world-leading suite of apps and products.
