Requirements
Must:
- Experience of working in education
- Proven experience of developing and leading the delivery of IT within a business
- Experience of maintaining robust IT and network security
- Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies, including Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge and experience of cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance with GDPR
- Knowledge of AI
- Knowledge of Windows 11
- Experience of managing a team
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience of leading effective IT service desk functions
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the IT team and drive performance management
- Provide leadership to the technical IT service desk team, network team, and reprographics department
- Manage projects such as the Windows 11 rollout and cyber essentials
- Work with the Deputy CEO to define relevant policies and ensure compliance
- Analyze business requirements of all departments to determine current and future technology leads
- Ensure robust IT and network security arrangements are in place, maintaining cybersecurity policies
Description
We are a Merseyside-based college seeking an interim Head of IT to join our management team for a period of 3-6 months. This role is on-site five days a week and may require presence at multiple campuses. Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:45 to 17:00, with a 1-hour lunch break. In this role, you will be responsible for leading IT services, network, and reprographic departments, overseeing 12 direct reports, and reporting to the Deputy CEO and CFO. We offer a competitive daily rate of £300-£400. You will have a dedicated consultant to assist with compliance, paperwork, and payments, and you will be part of a supportive team with guidance from senior leadership.
