Requirements
Must:
We seek candidates with experience in both internal and external audits, particularly in the context of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance. You should possess a strong understanding of IT-related internal controls and hold certifications such as CISA, ACA, CPA, or an equivalent. It is essential to have technical auditing skills and a solid grasp of internal control concepts such as COSO and COBIT. Strong communication skills are necessary to present internal control and risk matters in a clear and detailed manner across various forums and levels of the business. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Big 5 IT Audit. Knowledge of Cloud IT or experience in the Telecoms Industry will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the management of IT SOX governance standards, ensuring that all IT Governance Controls are fit for purpose and that changes to the control framework are effectively delivered. You will coordinate all audit actions, working closely with stakeholders and auditors to ensure compliance. Your tasks will include developing and advising on the implementation of IT SOX controls, planning and facilitating risk mitigation, and addressing deficiencies as identified in audit findings. Additionally, you will evaluate new processes, policies, and systems to assess their impact on the Sarbanes Oxley Risk Framework, including the assessment, design, and implementation of necessary new controls.
Description
This role requires a hands-on approach; we are looking for someone who is a do-er and ready to roll up their sleeves rather than just directing others. While we require experience in the IT side of compliance and governance, having a background in finance is also acceptable. The position entails hybrid working, with an expectation of being on site for two days each week.
