Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Network Engineer who has relevant experience in their area of work and is capable of answering colleagues’ questions. You should be able to work independently without direct supervision. Essential qualifications include a Cisco Certification. Experience with Cisco Wireless is beneficial, and familiarity with DNA, ISE, and SDN is desirable but not essential. You should demonstrate hands-on experience working in a multi-site environment with enterprise-level experience, incorporating scalable, hierarchical models for LANs and WANs. A strong working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, as well as good understanding of TCP/IP networking including VLANs and layer 2/3 switching/routing, is required. Previous experience with a London Borough Council is highly desired.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, prototyping, designing, and developing new and changed services in network architecture. Your work will ensure that services meet functional, security, performance, scalability, and business continuity requirements. Additionally, you will oversee the technical lifecycle management processes for network services to enable efficient and effective management and support.
Description
This is a contract position with a day rate of £450 - £475 per day, inside IR35. The role is with a local government client in London and supports hybrid working arrangements.
