Requirements
Must:
- Strong Business Analysis background with full lifecycle experience.
- Expertise in requirements gathering.
- Proficient in process mapping.
- Advanced SQL skills for data interrogation, validation, and analysis.
- Experience in data modeling.
- Familiarity with pensions, specifically Defined Benefit (DB) schemes.
- Knowledge of UK Regulatory Reporting frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for user story and backlog management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate requirements gathering from business SMEs related to administration workflows and reporting needs.
- Develop clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
- Conduct detailed requirements analysis and ensure traceability across project artefacts.
- Develop and refine data models to support operational and reporting processes.
- Collaborate closely with the third-party administration platform vendor, participating in refinement sessions.
- Manage and maintain user stories, backlog items, and progress tracking using Azure DevOps.
- Work with internal test teams to ensure knowledge transfer and alignment on acceptance criteria.
- Support business readiness activities by producing to-be procedures and operational documentation.
- Apply expertise in UK regulatory reporting, ensuring processes and requirements align to relevant standards.
- Support the design and validation of reporting outputs for regulatory compliance.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Bulk Purchase Annuities (BPA) BA Team in Edinburgh. Our team consists of eight BAs and we are looking for a candidate to support requirements gathering and process analysis for the BPA Buy-Out Stage as part of a new BPA administration platform implementation. This role offers a flexible work environment with 2-3 days per week onsite and a duration of 6 months, starting ASAP, with a competitive daily rate. We value strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills, especially in the pensions and UK regulatory reporting domains.
