Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for someone with experience in product development within the luxury fashion industry.
- You should have proven experience in sourcing and developing raw materials.
- A background in working within a global business is essential.
- People management experience is an advantage.
- You should possess skills in managing the product development calendar.
- Experience collaborating with manufacturers during development stages is necessary.
- Strong relationship-building skills with Design and Merchandising teams are important.
- I prefer someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about product design and development.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to implement seasonal development critical paths, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- You will launch trials and new designs.
- You must work with Design to manage or support material sourcing, development, and prototyping for assigned categories.
- You should order raw materials for prototypes and samples, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
- Organizing and scheduling prototype fittings while informing Design and Technical Services is part of your role.
- I need you to attend all fittings—from prototype to first pre-production.
- You will communicate prototype and sample forecasts to vendors.
- In collaboration with Design and Merchandising, allocate line styles to fabrics and showroom samples.
- I expect you to manage and update sample Bills of Materials (BOMs) and amendments.
- You will monitor sample deliveries to all showrooms during seasonal launches.
- Agree on pre-production fitting timetables with Technical Service and Global Sourcing teams.
- Create and manage production BOMs and oversee the collection handover to Supply Chain.
- Maintain daily communication with suppliers regarding prototyping and raw material development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, ensuring smooth workflow and clear information flow.
- Provide updates and solutions for issues arising during or after collection development.
- Support the Product Development Manager, Merchandising, and Global Sourcing teams in costing activities for raw materials, prototypes, and finished goods.
- Monitor and manage the Product Development budget.
- Set up and maintain records of all raw materials.
- Organize and maintain an archive of production standards and seasonal developments.
- Work across multiple projects with cross-functional teams, partnering closely with Design, Merchandising, Technical Services, and Supply Chain.

- The contract for this role is 1 month, and I am looking for immediate joiners. - The position is based in London, UK, and requires a fully onsite working pattern from Monday to Friday.
