Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrable experience of at least 3 years in the industry with detailed knowledge and understanding of the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of the following:
- VMware ESXi
- Distributed Virtual Switches
- Distributed Resource Scheduler
- Distributed Power Management
- VMware vSAN
- Hybrid and All Flash storage configurations
- VMware vCenter
- High Availability
- Clustering
- Cross-site failure and resiliency
- VMware NSX
- Microsegmentation Firewalling
- Cross Site VC NSX
- VMware Horizon
- At least one professional Virtualisation certification obtained within the last five years, e.g., VMware VCP (VMware vCenter Certified Professional) or similar
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems and propose new ideas
- Hold a valid Security Clearance (SC)
- Competency in MS Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Support the technical team responsible for the design, development, documentation, building, and validation of the core virtual estate that forms the backbone of the NSoIT(D) Platform
- Design, develop, build, and validate all virtualisation components that are part of the NSoIT(D) Platform
- Produce and review all levels of design artefacts
- Support wider NSoIT(D) system testing activities
- Work with Service Management to resolve issues
Description
We are offering a 2-year contract position for an Infrastructure Virtualisation Engineer located in Portsmouth or Corsham. Our Infrastructure Virtualisation Engineering Service supports a technical team dedicated to the core virtual estate of the NSoIT(D) Platform. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about technology and ready to contribute to innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.
