Requirements

Must:
- Essential: - I need candidates to author specifications across the full lifecycle, including planning, design, and test documentation. - Experience with formal requirements capture tools is essential. - A strong background in requirements analysis is required. - Knowledge of source configuration control processes (e.g., PVCS, RTC, GIT) is necessary. - Excellent attention to detail is a must. - The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is critical. - Candidates should be skilled in debugging complex problems and producing documentation to meet safety standards. - Extensive experience in developing bare-metal embedded software using C/C++ is required. - A collaborative approach to working within multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., Systems, Integration, Electronics) is important. - Required: - Proven experience in developing and verifying embedded software to high safety integrity levels (e.g., DO178C Level B, SIL-4, or equivalent) is a must. - Expertise in specification and requirements creation, with compliance tracking in DOORS is necessary. - A working knowledge of C/C++ for testing special builds and conducting focused code reviews is required. - Proficiency in unit testing using tools such as LDRA, RAPITA, or equivalent is essential. - Understanding of code coverage techniques and strategies for addressing shortfalls is important. - Hands-on experience in a lab environment with live equipment (PSUs, oscilloscopes, logic analysers) for system testing is needed. - Desirable: - Significant experience developing software to DO178C Level B standards is a plus. - Familiarity with defence standards and microcontroller technologies would be beneficial. - Experience testing on development cards in a test environment or bare-metal using special builds is desirable. - Proficiency with RAPITA Systems Tool Suite would be an advantage. - Knowledge of modelling tools and Ansys SCADE Tool Suite is a plus. - Experience with ALM platforms such as JIRA or IBM Engineering Workflow Manager is beneficial. - The ability to create and manage virtual machines (e.g., VMware) is a plus.
