2074 IT & Software Developer jobs in the UK
Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Software Developer with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in developing secure customer-facing browser-based software applications, ideally within our technology stack of Blazor, .NET Core, SQL, Azure, or equivalent technologies. You should have experience in deploying web applications using DevOps approaches and a CI/CD pipeline framework, preferably in Azure, but other equivalent experiences will be considered. Familiarity with serverless application architecture, ideally within Azure (e.g., Azure App Service, Blob Storage, Azure AD B2B/C, Managed SQL), is essential, though equivalent experience (e.g., AWS) will also be taken into account. Additionally, a high level of technical proficiency, an interest in technology systems, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical. Strong critical thinking and a logical, analytical mindset for problem-solving are also required.
Responsibilities
As a Software Developer, I will expect you to build secure and performant browser-based applications that integrate with our core business systems. You will maintain a diverse portfolio of software solutions, ranging from small-scale utilities to larger-scale strategic web-based applications, all aligned with our technology stack. Your role will include developing both internally accessible and externally facing applications while writing clean, functional code for both front-end and back-end systems. It will be important for you to maintain awareness of web application security, producing applications that meet high standards and pass penetration tests, following OWASP recommendations. You will be actively involved in the entire Software Development Lifecycle, from conception and design to architecture, build, and deployment. I will also rely on you to produce accurate estimates for project deliverables, support developed applications by troubleshooting issues, and contribute to our continuous improvement roadmap. Maintaining relevant documentation, coordinating testing, and handling escalated issues with effective stakeholder communication will be key aspects of your role.
