Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years in a hardware repair role
- Supervisor/Team Lead experience is highly desirable
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are highly advantageous
- Strong technical skills with a thorough understanding of IT systems and devices
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and relevant software applications
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A positive and calm mindset
- Strong analytical skills to assess trends and make data-driven decisions
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a keen eye for detail
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of IT hardware repair technicians
- Perform daily technical tasks including diagnosing hardware faults and assessing cosmetic damage
- Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and safety protocols
- Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment
- Plan and coordinate the daily schedule of repair tasks
- Monitor workloads and allocate resources effectively
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues
- Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits on completed work
- Develop and implement best practices to maintain service quality
- Identify inefficiencies within repair workflows and propose solutions
- Collaborate with management to enhance operational efficiency
- Stay updated on industry trends to refine repair techniques
- Maintain accurate records of repair activities and team performance
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on productivity and process enhancements
Description
At Greensafe IT, we are an established IT recycler and supplier of IT services, having overseen more than 3 million devices through the IT lifecycle. We offer a wide range of additional services, including IT spares, logistics, datacentre and office relocations, and hardware brokerage services through Greensafe Global. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our Internal Engineering department in Droitwich, Worcestershire. This full-time, contract position offers a competitive salary between £26,000 and £31,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience, along with benefits such as staff discounts, company events, and access to an on-site gym.
