Finance Application Support Engineer

- Promote the availability, performance, security, provisioning, implementation, and day-to-day operations of our finance applications - Possess an excellent understanding of business processes required to support technology in order to solve problems and make improvements - Perform regular system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of appropriate software resources and processes for users - Perform regular security and performance monitoring activity, implementing and responding to established alerts to identify possible intrusions and performance issues - Participate in Incident and Problem resolution, including identification, diagnosis, and root cause analysis ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on services and data integrity - Actively communicate risks, operational problems, and incidents accurately assessing business impact and escalating where appropriate - Respond to requests for support in a timely fashion to meet overall service levels and ensure quality customer service - Follow appropriate controls over implementations and changes, maintaining documentation to ensure adherence to common processes and reference resources for application changes - Identify gaps in services and highlight underlying performance, recommending known solutions to improve services - Champion service transitions from projects - Perform out-of-hours/on-call rota support duties
