Professional certifications such as CCNA, AZ-700, AZ-104, or relevant experience are also highly regarded.
Responsibilities
As our Infrastructure Specialist, I will need you to help drive continuous system improvements across the infrastructure space, including enhancing performance and the delivery of SD-WAN, ZTNA networking, Teams Telephony, and network design and topology. Day-to-day tasks will involve monitoring and administering cloud-based systems such as Azure and Office 365, Intune, as well as some on-premises virtualization. You will take ownership of any system issues escalated from the service desk and help mentor service desk colleagues, documenting solutions to improve responses across the support function. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and the project management team to deliver new applications and system projects. Furthermore, you will assist in resolving complex ongoing technical issues and provide input into root cause analysis reports as necessary. Contributing to the development and implementation of disaster recovery (DR) plans, including testing and documentation of the network infrastructure, will also be part of your role. Familiarity with GPHG systems and structure to proactively develop system improvements is expected, as well as working within our security framework to enhance security measures. Ultimately, you will contribute to and develop GPHG’s cloud-first strategy, working towards delivering all key business functions via cloud services.

A driving license and access to a vehicle is necessary. I appreciate commitment to understanding the challenges and opportunities present in the communities we serve and particularly value lived experience in social housing. A passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities, along with a commitment to partnership working for the benefit of Great Places, is essential. Continuous learning and improvement should be a priority for you. I hope you can work flexibly and, when necessary, outside normal working hours to ensure service continuity. In return for your hard work and commitment, I offer various benefits such as a pension DC scheme with up to 10% contributions, a health and wellbeing scheme, hybrid and flexible working options, starting annual leave of 26 days (increasing to 30 days within 5 years), and an array of rewards including professional fees covered and discounts for high street, restaurants, and more. Additionally, I prioritize the wellbeing of my colleagues, offering initiatives designed around mental, physical, and financial wellbeing. The closing date for applications is November 1st, with shortlist dates on November 2nd, and interview dates to be confirmed.
