Requirements

Must:
- A proven track record of delivering technical output, whether as an individual contributor, manager, or project manager. - Solid experience and understanding of silicon digital device design characterisation. - Knowledge of silicon process technology and its impact on device performance at the transistor and system level. - Familiarity with high-performance processor and system-on-chip systems. - Experience with high-speed digital interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, or DDR. - Knowledge of measurement automation and data analysis. - Proficiency in coding or scripting for automation and data analysis using applicable programming languages like Python or JMP. - Ability to work independently without daily oversight. - A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Desirable: - Knowledge of PCBA and system-level technologies. - Background knowledge of ATE systems and capabilities (though direct involvement with such testing will not be required, some characterisation work will be performed on these systems).

Responsibilities

- Understand the architecture and design of silicon devices and systems, and document the requirements for characterisation clearly. - Create product-specific characterisation plans. - Liaise with engineering teams to identify available tests for characterisation purposes and drive changes where necessary. - Create and maintain an automated system for running characterisation testing, capturing results in a central database, and performing data analysis. - Execute manual characterisation tests when automation is not applicable. - Regularly report on progress and issues during the characterisation process. - Produce characterisation reports that include platform test results and contribute to the overall product characterisation report.
