Requirements
Must:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good understanding of troubleshooting principles and methodical problem-solving.
- 5+ years in System Administration with a strong focus on providing core infrastructure services and automation.
- Strong Linux administration skills in Debian & RedHat derivatives on bare metal and virtual machines.
- Good networking skills such as VLANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi, routing, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience managing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Experience managing Virtualisation Platforms – VMware ESXi/vSphere, KVM/libvirtd.
Responsibilities
- Log and solve support requests face-to-face and via the ticketing system.
- Manage and support Linux-based systems and provide Layer 1 & 2 support.
- Perform security patching, including risk assessment for Linux environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to manage hybrid cloud and on-prem servers.
- Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code specifications to deploy and automate changes.
- Manage core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and LDAP.
- Maintain and support the virtualisation platform.
- Document solutions and maintain a clear, up-to-date internal knowledge base.
