Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelors degree or have equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Infrastructure, Real Estate, or related fields.
- I have at least 4 years of experience managing projects or supporting the planning and development of agreements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- I have experience negotiating or supporting the negotiation of bilateral real estate agreements of varying sizes and timelines.
- I am knowledgeable in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, and site selection for industrial projects.
- I am willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time as needed.
Responsibilities
- I will work with internal and external technical teams to identify, define, and pursue initiatives necessary to meet our ongoing data center needs, including the agreement of necessary utility connections (e.g., power, water, etc.) at existing and new green or brownfield sites.
- I will manage the strategy for ongoing growth at our existing sites.
- I will develop metrics for mapping, tracking, and advocating a broad range of portfolio management issues regarding site and infrastructure development.
- I will monitor progress against objectives, providing regular status reports and advocating financial metrics to support both site and infrastructure-related portfolio decisions.
- I will foster an open workplace for my colleagues in day-to-day interactions and conversations.
Description
As we grow to serve billions of users, our Strategic Negotiation team plays a crucial role in securing infrastructure for our future. This involves everything from operating underwater cables to identifying data center space. In my role as a Data Center Strategic Negotiator, I will combine my deep market knowledge with tech industry expertise to find solutions that support our growth. I will work closely with various teams to oversee vendor and partner relationships, ensuring contract compliance on third-party agreements while identifying cost-effective solutions. The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining whats possible, empowering our customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability, and velocity. As part of this effort, I will lead discussions for purchase and service agreements with stakeholders such as landowners, power grid and energy companies, telecommunications firms, and government officials, managing a wide range of compliance issues and site/infrastructure development strategies.
