- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- 2 years of experience leading projects and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities
- Define and escalate risks in Cloud and reduce incident probabilities using strategic and tactical approaches as needed.
- Focus on achieving high-quality customer outcomes through continuous collaboration across GCP teams.
- Create training and end-to-end processes for the incident management lifecycle, partnering with Cloud SRE UTLs and the Cloud Support leadership team.
- Build systems and tooling to support the Cloud Incident Response Team (IRT). Enhance visibility for Cloud while improving detection of large-scale issues and communications with customers and stakeholders.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical incident responses for all of GCP.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) merges software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, fault-tolerant systems. The Technical Infrastructure team powers everything users see online, from maintaining data centers to constructing the next generation of Google platforms, ensuring the best and fastest user experience possible.
