Must:
We seek candidates with a basic understanding of laptops and desktops, preferably HP and Lenovo. A willingness to learn break/fix repairs under supervision is essential. You should have access to your own vehicle and essential tools, along with good time management and organizational skills. Additionally, you must be open to working across multiple sites. Desirably, previous experience in deskside support or an IT helpdesk role, along with familiarity with ticketing systems and mobile service apps, would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
In this field-based, junior-level role, you will provide basic break/fix support for HP and Lenovo laptops and desktops. Your key responsibilities will include attending designated sites to assist with laptop and desktop repairs, following guidance for reassembly. You will support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance of devices, manage service tickets through a mobile app, and collect and return parts daily. Additionally, you will assist with repairs, close tickets in the system, follow instructions from team leads or senior technicians for BIOS updates and branding, and maintain safe working practices, reporting any issues to the support line.
Description
This is a 6-week contract role based in London, with daily working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00. The offered day rate is £150, which falls inside IR35 and is processed via umbrella. Mileage and parking expenses will be claimable.
