Requirements
Must:
- Practical hands-on experience in IT support (1st or 2nd line)/n- Basic understanding of networks, systems, and common operating systems/n- Confidence installing and supporting software and hardware/n- Calm, friendly approach and the ability to explain IT in plain English/n- Genuine interest in learning, improving, and supporting others/n- An ICT-related qualification is a bonus, but not essential/n- Clear and concise communication skills over the phone and face to face
Responsibilities
- Helping staff and pupils with day-to-day IT issues, either face-to-face or remotely/n- Installing and maintaining laptops, desktops, printers, and other devices/n- Supporting the rollout of new hardware, software, and network upgrades/n- Troubleshooting issues across Windows/macOS, applications, and networking/n- Managing helpdesk tickets and making sure users feel supported and informed/n- Spotting recurring issues and fixing them before they become bigger problems/n- Working closely with different departments across the school/n- Sharing simple guidance and tips to help users feel more confident with technology
