Requirements
Must:
- I hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, information systems, or a related field.
- I have extensive experience in developing APIs using Python, JavaScript, OpenAPI, and AWS API Gateway.
- I possess a solid understanding of REST and REST Oriented Architecture (ROA).
- I have experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- I demonstrate strong technical skills and have a desire to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- I will work within an Agile multidisciplinary team to plan, code, and deploy Python and JavaScript-based REST APIs on AWS.
- I will identify, develop, document, and deliver high-performance APIs and programs using Python and AWS.
- I will manage the API release lifecycle, including versioning and enabling third-party integration.
- I will integrate new code into existing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery/deployment (CD) pipelines.
- I will ensure robust API security and authentication mechanisms.
Description
We are seeking an experienced API Developer to join our dynamic Technology and Change department. In this role, I will play a crucial part in designing, building, and maintaining Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that facilitate seamless data exchange between various software systems and third-party services. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a fast-paced, agile environment while working on innovative solutions that meet our evolving business needs. The position is mostly remote, with travel to our Staffordshire-based office once per fortnight. The salary range for this position is £70K - £85K.
