Requirements

Must:
In this role, I am looking for a candidate who has strong Python development capabilities with at least 3 years of experience. You should have experience implementing and integrating with REST APIs and possess SQL experience, preferably with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL. I value individuals who are passionate about building quality software, are comfortable working in Agile teams, and actively collaborate cross-functionally. You will also support CI/CD practices and participate in automated build and deployment processes. Engaging in peer programming, mentoring sessions, and team knowledge sharing is important, as is being open to feedback and discussions on technical approaches. I need someone who can clearly articulate technical topics to peers and stakeholders and approach debugging and issue resolution methodically. A willingness to adapt and learn new technologies and tools is essential. Desirable: While not mandatory, it would be advantageous if you have experience in developing with Rust, familiarity with containers and cloud technologies (such as Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS), experience with Linux development or management, and knowledge in GIS.

Responsibilities

As a Back End Python Software Engineer, I see you as a hands-on contributor responsible for delivering secure, maintainable, and performant software as part of a cross-functional Agile team. You will work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and fellow engineers to help shape technical solutions and contribute to quality practices.
