Innovation Engineer

In this role, I will explore and evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and business impact. I will design and deliver a pipeline of proofs of concept (PoCs) and early-stage projects that align with our Innovation strategy. As a technical Subject Matter Expert for our Reference Architecture, I will define the evolution and optimization of this platform, collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, data SMEs, and delivery teams to shape priorities and approaches. I will build and test prototypes, ensuring they are scalable and production-ready where appropriate, and lead infrastructure and environment setups for innovation projects, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. Additionally, I will support the development of data pipelines, processing, and storage for AI/ML workloads, monitor and evaluate model performance, accuracy, and resource utilization, and champion delivery best practices across the team, including AI Governance, EDA alignment, and SDLC compliance. I aim to contribute to the rollout of successful innovations across wider business functions and applications, fostering the development of AI literacy across the Group by coaching stakeholders and co-developing new ways of working. Staying current with technology trends and Generative AI developments will be crucial, allowing me to bring fresh thinking and insights to the team. I will also drive knowledge sharing within the team by discussing lessons learned in PoCs and providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior team members.
